Who we share your data with

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Your contact information

We collect contact information like your name, email address, and phone number when you sign up for our services or submit that information to us. This allows us to communicate with you about your account and provide customer support.

Additional information

How we protect your data

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access or disclosure. This includes encryption of data in transit and at rest, firewalls, access controls, and other safeguards. We regularly monitor our systems for potential vulnerabilities or attacks.

What data breach procedures we have in place

We have a dedicated incident response plan to address any suspected or confirmed data breaches. This includes efforts to quickly contain and investigate the breach, notify affected users as required by law, and take steps to prevent future breaches. We also maintain audit logs to assist in investigations.

What third parties we receive data from

We may receive personal data about users from third party sources like data brokers or marketing partners. This could include contact details, demographic information, or interest data. We use this to supplement our user records and provide more relevant content and advertising.

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

We use automated processes to analyze user data and user behavior on our sites/apps. This allows us to provide more tailored content recommendations, targeted advertising, fraud detection, and other product enhancements. Decisions may be made based solely on the automated profiling in areas like targeted marketing.

Industry regulatory disclosure requirements

We are subject to the disclosure requirements of the state of Delaware and other regulatory oversight. This includes obligations around explaining our data practices, allowing users to exercise their data rights, and providing data breach notifications when applicable.
